This week we were visited by the “Road Trip” Raptor! He stopped by to learn more about the class and to speak to some of our students.
Otherwise, this week we wrapped up Site 7. We found a couple of glass and ceramic fragments as well as a few possible stone flakes. In all, none of the artifacts are diagnostic. It’s what we expected and why we started with Site 7. Next week we start on the much larger Site 4. Site 4 was recommended for further testing after yielding quite a bit of historic material. We will be using both shovel tests and excavation units.
